About Brandon

Brandon is a highly educated professional with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a Master’s in exercise physiology from Eastern Michigan University. His graduate studies were characterized by his dedication to advanced coursework; in addition to foundational courses such as advanced exercise physiology, biomechanics, and periodization, Brandon supplemented his studies with classes in cellular and molecular biology, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and neurochemistry.
Brandon’s academic journey was not just about theoretical knowledge. During his graduate studies, he was awarded a teaching/research assistant position, where he gained invaluable practical experience. Guiding students in understanding lab techniques for quantifying human performance, he developed his passion for helping and educating others. He was also actively involved in various research projects, focusing on performance modeling, assessing metabolic parameters in endurance athletes, and validating wearable technology. He has presented these research findings at local, regional, and national conferences.
Brandon’s passion for endurance sports is not just a hobby, but a testament to his dedication and perseverance. He has been an active participant in endurance sports for over ten years, using his knowledge to coach himself in events ranging from 5k to marathon. His determination even led him to complete an Ironman triathlon, an accomplishment that showcases his dedication and passion for the sport.
After switching careers following college, Brandon has kept his passion for endurance sports, analytics, and helping others. This led him to create Endurelytic LLC. His main interest lies in breaking down complex cellular and biochemical processes and integrating them with training principles to make the information easily understandable for athletes.
